Baking Friday - Pie # 8

Rainy Day Comfort Food Decadence.

That's how I introduced this week's pie at work on Thursday for my taste testers.  Cause it was a rainy day.  And this pie is just sort of down-home summer comfort of peaches, spices and lattice crust.  But who could turn down some decadence of French vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and whipped cream?

Is it wrong of me to only share some pics of this week's pie today and share the recipe tomorrow?

Is it wrong to remember to even share a piece of the cut pie (albeit on a paper plate) and simply say, "It was yummy!" without showing you how I made it?
Like seriously, folks.  Look at that pie!  Doesn't that look scrumptious?!

Here's another piece that was served to a special taste tester who missed out yesterday (cause I swiped a piece from G's pie!).  Again, yummy looking, right?!  Even without the whipped cream!

I will share the recipe, I've just runned out of time and gas today.  Perhaps if I share a rose with you from our garden, you'll forgive me and catch a glimpse of just how rainy and wet it was on Thursday?
That there is a Lincoln rose - or at least that's what G called it when he cut it, put it in that fancy schmancy vase there and took a long sniff.  And let me tell you.  This rose is not only beautiful, it smells A. MAZ. ING.
Happy Friday, folks!  Am I too busy?  Or just too old?

Don't answer that.  Please?

More tomorrow!
